Terms of Service

These terms apply to SteadyTabs products and to the steadytabs.com website. By installing or using a SteadyTabs product you agree to them. The general terms apply to every product. Each product then has its own section with its license type, limits and trial; where a product section differs from the general terms, the product section applies to that product.
General terms
Who sells the products
SteadyTabs products are made by an independent developer. Payments are processed by Creem, our merchant of record, so your purchase is with Creem and Creem's checkout terms also apply.
Free trials
Where a product offers a free trial, its product section says how long it lasts and when it starts. When a trial ends, the paid features stop working until you buy a license or subscription. Your settings are kept.
One-time licenses
A one-time license is paid once and does not renew. “Lifetime” means for as long as the product is offered, including all updates we publish for it. The product section says how many browsers or devices a license covers.
Subscriptions
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, as shown at checkout) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link in your Creem receipt or by emailing us. After you cancel, the paid features keep working until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again. We will tell you in advance, by email, before any price change applies to your subscription.
License keys
License keys are for your own personal or single-business use. They are non-transferable, and sharing them publicly is not allowed. A key only works with the product it was bought for. You can free up a browser from a product's settings to use your key somewhere else.
Refunds
If a product doesn't work for you, contact us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. For subscriptions, this applies to the first payment; later renewals can be refunded if you contact us within 7 days of the renewal and haven't used the paid features since.
Acceptable use
You must not use SteadyTabs products for anything unlawful or abusive, or in ways that break the terms of the services they connect to.
Third-party services
Our browser extensions work on top of websites and services we don't control. Changes to those services may temporarily affect a product. We work to keep our products compatible, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted operation. SteadyTabs is not affiliated with or endorsed by the companies whose services our products work with.
Disclaimer
The software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data or lost profits. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new date.
CustomFrom
CustomFrom is a browser extension that sends email you compose in Gmail through an email provider account you own.
- License type: one-time lifetime license. No subscription.
- Browsers: each license can be activated in up to 5 browsers.
- Free trial: 7 days, counted from the first message you send from a custom address, not from installation.
Your responsibilities. You are responsible for your email provider account, its costs and its terms, and for only sending from addresses and domains you are authorized to use. You must not use CustomFrom to send spam, phishing, or anything else that is unlawful or that breaks your provider's acceptable-use policy.
Gmail and your email provider. CustomFrom depends on Gmail's web interface and on your email provider's API. CustomFrom is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Gmail is a trademark of Google LLC.
Steady Focus
Steady Focus is a browser extension that blocks the websites you choose and can hide distracting feeds on a few sites. The block list, focus sessions and block page are free. Steady Focus Pro is a paid subscription.
- License type: subscription, billed monthly ($2.99) or yearly ($19.99), or the price shown at checkout. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancelling: cancel anytime from the link in your Creem receipt or by emailing us. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again. When a subscription ends, Pro features pause, your settings are kept, and the free features keep working.
- Browsers: each subscription's license key can be activated in up to 5 browsers at a time. You can remove it from a browser in the extension's settings to free up a slot.
- Free trial: 7 days of Pro, once per browser profile, counted from the first time you switch on a Pro feature, not from installation. No payment details are needed for the trial. When it ends, Pro features pause until you subscribe.
- Refunds: as in the general terms: the first payment within 14 days, and a renewal within 7 days if you haven't used Pro since.
What strict mode and the password can and can't do. Strict mode and the settings password make it harder to switch blocking off while you're focusing. They don't stop anyone from uninstalling the extension or clearing its data, which browsers always allow. They are aids to self-control, not security or parental controls.
Other websites. Distraction filters depend on the pages of YouTube, Instagram, X and Reddit, which change often; a filter may stop working until we release a fix. Steady Focus is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.
